As I said, I'm not responsible for how the dependencies get built. This is a perennial issue that we've faced. It's often a huge pain for the maintainer to build just parts of a package, so we tend to build everything and chop the package up at the end. The penalty is that users wind up building a lot of stuff. > > I suspect I will either find a wget binary, build a version myself > without gnutls (which does seem to configure fine from wget sources, > provided you do --without-ssl), or just learn to use curl instead. > > v. > Another option would be to install wget and then remove all of the extra packages. As long as you're not low on disk space, this will give you the ability to install those quickly if some other package wants them (at least until they get updated and your .debs are obsolete). -- Alexander Hansen, Ph.D. Fink User Liaison http://finkakh.wordpress.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ RSA(R) Conference 2012 Save $700 by Nov 18 Register now http://p.sf.net/sfu/rsa-sfdev2dev1 _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [email protected] List archive: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.macosx.fink.user Subscription management: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
