Did I say better? I meant... uh... Actually, it's more of an
opinion thing, it looked more "commercial." For example, when you
started it, it had that assistant thing that set up the program for you
(Which I personally don't like). It was also a bit more colorful and
had more cosmetic things like the buttons on the buddy list, maybe a
little more border and spacing here and there, and a start up screen.
Also, no offence, but their icon looked a little more like the
translucent, 3-D, lickable, aqua style that seems to be catching on,
where as Fire's is still pretty 2-Dish. Fire on the other hand LOOKS
very bare-bones. I think that was part of the idea of Fire though, I'm
not sure. Also, I did say, looks AT FIRST, after trying to set it up, I
found a few poorly created Preference icons, and a pretty inconsistent
interface.
By better, I was simply referring to the fact that most clients
that have gone to all the trouble of spicing up their interface usually
have spent lots of time on the actual program and had plenty of free
time for GUI stuff.
