The code path for inserting smileys is somewhat different than pasting.
Since you mentioned there was a problem I noticed that smileys are always
added at the end of the text, so I made a small change so that it is
equivalent to any other typing. Basically, a smiley will be added at the
insertion point or replace the selection.
I didn't notice any problems with the formatting however... What exactly is
the problem and how to you expect it to behave? Is the formatting any
different than if you typed at the end of the text?
