I checked in a change to respect a preference for this when pasting into
chat windows. There's no interface but if you're building from CVS you can
do this to see the new behaviour:
% defaults write Fire IgnoreStylesWhenPasting -bool true
And then quit and relaunch Fire.
I'm not sure what the best way is to provide the option in the UI. Maybe a
new menu item in the options menu? Or as some have indicated, we may want a
second paste command that does the opposite of your default paste command.
In that case it should probably be a checkbox in the Chat Windows pref pane.
