It seems that AMD might be exaggerating their support to AES. Though AMD (http://www.amd.com/Documents/Security_021.pdf#search=AES%252Dni) says: "AMD products beginning with those based on the “Bulldozer” CPU core, including the “Zambezi” desktop processor and the “Interlagos” server processor, have AES instructions." FYI, The Bulldozer CPU architecture product were released in 2011.
