Looks great. Good to know that Github either uses "git archive" or at least honors export attributes. Another nice effect is that it's also going to work for local "git archive" which is probably what most people use to export contents from git repository. Funny thing that few days ago I set export-ignore attribute locally for extern/SfIO but still didn't realize now that export-subst was created exactly for this purpose.
