I'm not sure on that one so I'll leave it to someone else to answer. I only run with a server setup, and Firebird is normally on a Linux box these days, but there is no reason that an embedded client could not run with a database as long as the server is not also accessing the same database file. It's the access that is restricted to a single user in the embedded case. -- Lester Caine - G8HFL ----------------------------- Contact - http://lsces.co.uk/wiki/?page=contact L.S.Caine Electronic Services - http://lsces.co.uk EnquirySolve - http://enquirysolve.com/ Model Engineers Digital Workshop - http://medw.co.uk Rainbow Digital Media - http://rainbowdigitalmedia.co.uk
