Yes, that's our plan. We're redesigning Firebug (and Firebug Lite) to
be platform independent, which means it will be easier to integrate
Firebug/Firebug Lite with other platform specific components.

For the Chrome case, we're planning to provide a full JavaScript
debugger, powered by Chrome Developer Tools Protocol.

But that's a long road ahead... If you want to help us with that
please let me know. Any help will be much appreciated.
