Nicolas, Thanks for your words, I couldn't have said it better. That's the open source spirit, to invest, to dedicate time, rather than wasting it. That was my very first point here, such discussion is a waste of time, therefore it is useless.
runrunforest, if you want so much Firebug for Chrome I suppose it is because you are (or were) a Firebug for Firefox fan. So you should be very grateful because John is the leader and the main contributor of the Firebug Working Group. According to you there are 28 million people saying that it sucks. How could that be true if doing a little google search I could only find 6 entries (and we are even counting the "duplicate entries")! http://www.google.com.br/search?q=%22firebug+lite+sucks%22&filter=0 Just one small fact: Firebug has around 2 million daily users. To you runrunforest I can only say: "patches are welcome". If you don't know what I meant with that, I suggest watching the "Open Source Projects and Poisonous People" inspiring talk made the lead developers of Subversion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-F-3E8pyjFo regards, Pedro Simonetti. 2010/9/11 Nicolas Hatier <[email protected]>: > > runrunforest, I respectfully suggest you roll your sleeves up and try to > help developing firebug or firebug lite.
