I missed the link you posted the first time.

I spent hours going through all my files, but you (and Krishna)were quite 
right.

I had completely forgotten that I had tried the verification plugin a few 
weeks ago. It didn't work and forgot to delete it. I deleted it and the 
problem is solved!
