Sorry if this seems like an ignorant post. I am new to this stuff and I am
trying to learn as much as possible.

I have a box that I have IPFWADM and IP Masq'ing setup on. I am trying to
create a FORWARDing rule for that box that only forwards any TCP packets
that are destined to 42.x.x.x and denies the rest.

My default forwarding policy is deny.

To create the rule I am asking about I did:

ipfwadm -F -m -a accept -b -P tcp -S 0.0.0.0/0 1024:65535 -D 42.0.0.0/8

I have setup policies that allow a certain IP's packets through but this
command does not work. I am assuming that I am giving a bad destination
address after the -D command. I tried doing 42.* but it does not like that
address.

I guess prolly my first mistake is using IPFWADM and not using IPCHAINS?

Thanks.
