What kernel are you running? Have you configured IPchains/IPMasq? If so you need to
check to see if your rules are set up correctly. You probably want to check out:

good luck..

Hi Folks,
I dont know if this is a relevant question here or not but I have tried all
means to get an answer for this if anyone could help me I would be thankful
to them.
This is the setup here
|---------------------------------------------------|
| (eth0) | linux box | (eth1) |
|--------------|
| ip 24.16.33.66 | | ip 192.168.1.1 |
| |
CABLE MODEM<---------> gateway 24.16.33.1 | | (dhcp configu
|<---hub--->| windows 98 |
| dns1 24.1.80.33 | | red) |
| |
| dns2 24.1.80.34 | | |
|--------------|
|---------------------------------------------------|
leased ip 192.168.1.2
I have configured dhcp on my linux box and have connected the eth0 to my
cable modem and eth1 to hub to which a windows machine with dhcp client is
hooked up. The problem is i can ping windows ip from linux and vice versa
but when i try to use ping my gateway 24.16.33.1 from windows it cant ping
and so its not getting connected to internet. Also i tried FTP/TELNET from
either of the machines and in both cases I got an error message saying
connection refused by host. I have tried all means but could not find a
soultion for this. Please let me know where am doing wrong or if any one
knows how to deal with this I would appreciate the help.
Thanks a lot
ravi
