You are welcome.  Note that since the -U option makes it universal, you only 
need to run that set command once and it will be remembered permanently for all 
instances of fish shell--no need to put it into a script like .bashrc.

All this help has got me checking my desktop computer. I am running MX Linux v18.3. Fish comes ready installed. I now see that my version is 2.4. Looking at the web site I see that the latest version is 3.2.

I am guessing that version 3 will have some improvements, and possibly some basic changes. I am wondering if it would be a good idea to upgrade to v3.2. I say upgrade, but I suppose the best way would be to remove my current version and install the new one.

Or should I  leave well alone?
