It is the Praziquantel that kills the tapes. I understand that double dose of strongid (Pyrantel Pamoate) paste will do it also, altho it is an "Off-Label" use. There is also some thought that the daily wormers such as Strongid 2X (Pyrantel Tartrate) and Continuex may also control tapes.
