Hi,
... And they come in suede (love the velcro effect).
So, does anyone other than Brigid have experience with the Bob
Marshall saddles???
Yes, I've been riding in my bob marshall barrel racing model for over a
year. (this model has a round skirt that doesn't interfere with short
backed horses). I love it! It is like velcro on your bottom! Wouldn't
ride in any other kind of saddle. My saddle came with a different kind of
pad. It's hard to describe, it kinda looks like a, oh how can I describe
it?...it's a rubberized open weave mesh pad that allows air flow, a
massage and a nice grip. The other thing I like is that I don't get
saddle sore because the seat is soft and the stirrups are free swinging,
more like and english saddle, therefore my knees don't ever get sore. I'm
5'6", 120 lbs and use a 15".
...experienced people[ with the treeless saddles ]that they
work good on smaller folks, about 125 pounds and less...
That comment reminds me that if you are heavier, it's better to use some
sort of mounting block or have someone hold down the right stirrup as the
saddle can move a little as you swing yourself up. I myself have no
trouble, but my 190lb trainer does, so I just hold the stirrup down for
him.
That's my 2cents worth.
Good luck,
Sharon
