Chuckling about fitting the gullet plates into the Wintec. Actually,
I haven't had any problems with them before, and I've changed them around a
few times for my Appys, using the standard gullet plates. But after
we 'modified' this plate, it was like trying to make a banana fit into a
mail slot. Or something like that.

     I do already have a English saddle. I bought a 36cm (yes, that's
right) 19" Ascot saddle from Frontier Saddlery. And it does fit, but has a
tendency to slip sideways, and is slick as you know what. So it's not
what I want for trail riding. The Bob Marshall sport saddles are treeless
and I think would fit my mare well. And they come in suede (love the
velcro effect).

So, does anyone other than Brigid have experience with the Bob
Marshall saddles???
