Thanks for the description of the quick-out stirrups. Sounds like a good
stirrup, but they are not yet available in Sweden. I'll have to keep my
eyes open when I go abroad. 

There are a similar kind here - it looks like an ordinary stirrup with a
smaller stirrup inside it. If you leave your horse your toe-tip will touch
this smaller stirrup which causes the bottom of the stirrup to open. Very
safe they say - and $200!! Can you belive it - 200 bucks for a pair of
stirrups? 

What's the price of a quick-out stirrup compared to anordinary stirrup?
