How interesting!  Would love to know if either the
sire or dam have produced any red dun babies, or any
ulsdun babies.  It would be interesting to know where
the red dun came from and where the cremello gene to
dilute it to yellow dun came from as well.  It seems
yellow duns are a real 'shot in the dark', but there
is still a basic genetic matching that has to occur to
get it.  Maybe the genes come from so far back in the
generations that they are hard to trace.
