Hi everyone,
I am new to the Fjordhorse message list. My name is Jeanne, I am a deputy
sheriff and hopefully will be retiring the summer of 2002:)! I live in the
country in Michigan, with a large, furry dog and a tiny cat I adopted from the
Humane Society. I currently do not have any horses but I am interested in
getting a Fjord. I would LOVE to have a gelding, 7-10 yrs., English saddle
trained, ready to ride. However I also know that the price of my dream Fjord
would be more then I could afford, so I am doing alot of looking and seeing
what is out there. I would appreciate any info and suggestions not only on
purchasing a Fjord, but on their housing, upkeep, personality, anything from
real Fjord owners, including any problems that anyone might have had. I want
to be realistic about this horse as I view this as my retirement horse and
hopefully my first and last Fjord, except of course for all the other Fjords
that will probably follow. I look forward to getting your input and learning.
