Hello Peter,

Your post did strike home.  I had the same questions, the same responses as 
you did.

However, I guess my question was more, "How could horse people do this to 
their equine companions?"  

This is what floors those of us working to stop slaughter.  As a politician, 
do you have any ideas of what we could do about this?  

We of course are trying to educate the public plus would like to work toward 
following California's footsteps.  Breeding in and of itself will be at 
question, at least on our farm, I can tell you that!  Please, we would 
appreciate any insight you could offer us.
