Sharon I am so sorry to here of your loss.  I lost two horses from twisted
gut.  One old fellow who was hit with a high power bb gun and it scared him
and he rolled down the hill turning his gut.  He was gone in five agonizing
hours, shrunken in size from the pain etc.  Awful.. The second was my
beloved Howdy, fjord, who took three painful days to die of a twisted gut.
Diagnosis and surgery came too late.  If your baby had a twisted gut you
would have seen the pain.

This not knowing is a good reason to have an autopsy done if possible.  The
Vet Steve here can possibly help you.  Again, very sorry.  Jean
