Hi List !
At almost 11 AM, it is -12 outside. Down to -20 last night. We got another
30 hrs of snow the other day and night, and now ice is the biggest problem. I
hear that it was snowing as far S. as Las Vegas. Most of the day is devoted
to animal care, but everyone is doing well.....even the flock of guinea hens.
All of the extra $$$$$$$$ we spend on every critter having heated water troughs
is worth it. Most of my neighbors chop ice in their horses troughs all day
long with very little time staying thawed. Dogs and birds also have heated
buckets.
The Fjords are active and happy. I finally broke down and let my central
heat run a bit, as the wood burning stove was not reaching to far parts of the
log house.
My ATV's battery is dead. Feeding will be nasty for a few days till Jeff
gets home to fix it. No one can come down our driveway as we have tons of snow
in
the way, but my 4WD is parked up on the road, so we can get out.
We have it good compared to many without power today in OK. and up. A Fjord
buddy from " around the hill " is comming over tomorrow to hang out and we will
stock back up.
