Actually, we had an abcess on John's big Walking Horse mare some years
back and the vet cut up an old innertube. You put the foot in partway
pour in the soak, fold up the excess and tape with duct tape. Easy on
and easy off and holds up very well. Good luck with the abcess - some of
them are buggers to fix. I use a baggy on the VSE but that would never
work on a Fjord :-)

My Fjord mare has an abscess for the first time. I have an old Sabre
Sneaker, but of course her foot is too big for it. Maybe we'll get
through this time with the bucket and the bandaging but I was wondering
if anyone has any suggestions on a soaking boot? I'd like to get one her
size to have around. The Sabre is a good product but they are around $100
now.
