Re: Euthanasia of horses in Washington State... I just heard from my VERY respected vet that putting down an otherwise healthy horse IS permissible in Washington as long as the LEGAL owner OK's it. I just got my WSU news (Washington State University Equine Newsletter). They took in a big bunch of horses but had to put down most of them as they could not care for them all...
