The weight of the hay, within about a half pound, is the difference between the two. I don't get that elaborate. I have the weigh bill from the hay delivery, divide it by the number of bales which gives an average weight per bale. You do not have to be exact every day, just as you do not eat the exact same thing each day. Obviously doesn't work on the round bales. Just make sure that no-one is looking over your shoulder and the scale is on a flat surface. >
