hmm... libFLAC is the fastest decoder. there are only assembly optimizations currently for x86 and PPC. so the M3 must be using only the C routines (unless it uses it's own custom FLAC decoder?). but there is significant room for improvement over plain C by just optimizing a few functions. what kind of CPU does the M3 use? > And, here is official site. > http://www.jetaudio.com/products/iaudio/m3/ I see. will it eventually list FLAC as a supported format, at least in the features section?
