My oh my !! This once highly technical reflector that used to reverberate
with conversations of DPCs, Buffers, databases,
CPU usage, et al, has degenerated into TRADING RECIPIES???
Maybe someone should call Martha Stewart and see if she wants to get her ham
licence?
(I'll have to try this one, but seems a bit much for me to drink all at
once)

Subject: Re: [FlexEdge] did I do a Rip Van Winkle
- 8 eggs
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 quart whole milk
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 2 cups good bourbon or (better yet) sour mash whiskey
- 2 teaspoons freshly grated nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- Sea salt if you separate the eggs.
Beat the eggs and strain them. Add the milk, cream, bourbon, nutmeg,
vanilla, and ginger. Mix well and refrigerate for 24 hours. Yes, you
have to wait that long. Serve in cups with additional grated nutmeg on
top
and, if you are adventuresome, just a tiny sprinkle of sea salt.
Variations: You can separate the eggs and reserve the whites until you
are
ready to serve the nog, then beat them to soft peaks with a couple of
tablespoons of sugar and gently fold into the nog. Top with grated nutmeg
and a tiny sprinkle of sea salt. You can substitute dark rum or brandy
but
a good sour mash like Jack Daniels Black is best. Never heat it. Hot
eggnog is an abomination, saith the Lord.

I've the undisputed ultimate eggnog recipe. Let me know if you want it.
Put it all in their William:

Ivy-covered professors in ivy-covered halls."
Count me in! I am definitely up for the ultimate Egg Nog recipe. Given
that I am trying to recover from a bit of an infection (it was the fever
dream, really!) I am thinking that Egg Nog (or just Nog) may be the cure.
If Ampicillin won't fix it, alcohol may.
"Turn on the spigot,
Pour the beer and swig it,
And gaudeamus igit-ur."
