Mike,   I’m about halfway through with writing the FireBox Quick Start Guide and expect to finish it early next week.  It will be strikingly similar to the Delta 44 QSG.  Basically, just use Line In 3 & 4 for the SDR-1000 To Line In.  Use the front panel Mic Input for the microphone.  Use the Main Outputs for your speakers and use Line Out 3 & 4 for the SDR-1000 To Line Out.  Use the front panel Mic gain to calibrate the mic input and you should be ready to go.   Note that the FireBox does have slightly better dynamic range than the Delta 44, but it is all on the top end (meaning it will take stronger signals before overloading).  It will not improve the noise floor compared to the Delta 44.     Eric Wachsmann FlexRadio Systems   -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Michael Freedman Sent: Friday, November 11, 2005 9:17 PM To: FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz Subject: [Flexradio] (no subject)   Is there a STARTUP GUIDE like the one  for the DELTA 44 available for the FIREBOX?  Is one able to use one of the mic preamps with phantom as a mic input?  I am also curious to know if any one can hear any better performance out of the firebox over trhe delta 44. I know the firebox has better specs , but can one really hear it.. I have both devices but am using the firebox in another application. I would however try it, IF it's worth the effort.   Mike
