I believe Gerrald clarified things by stating that binaries will in fact be available from the website, albeit on a somewhat less frequent schedule than we became accustomed to with the series of 1.4.5 previews; these will more acurately represent betas (being more stable, less buggy) and will presumably satisfy the needs of those with no interest in the more frequent but less stable alphas available either as binaries or source via SVN. If my interpetation is correct, then this would appear to cover the needs of the varied user/developer community nicely while still beating the pants of the competition in terms of making the radio better and better and better...
