Tim, I use a Heil PR-20. It is a good mike and not that expensive. I use it with a FireBox which has a preamp. I bought a cable from Heil and put a connector on it that fits the SDR-1000 box and I use a cable from the SDR-1000 box into the FireBox. That way the PTT on the mike stand and also on a foot switch work. The mike works well, but needs some equalizer to sound natural as it is too flat.
