Jeff: Can you tell me where in the code you normalize the mouse position x-axis when clicking in the panadaptor frame?

My code mods actually round (when in voice mode) to the nearest 100 Hz (rather than 1 KHz), *except* when fully zoomed out. In that case, because the pixel-to-pixel delta represents steps in excess of 100 Hz, I round to the nearest 500 Hz. Per Dan's question - personally I find that, for voice, 100/500 Hz rounding is fine for click tuning, and I made the decision not to tie this increment to the mouse-wheel tuning increment for a number of reasons: 1) the increment really should relate (relate loosely) to the pixel-to-pixel frequency delta, which changes as one zooms the display in and out (per my earlier description of my rounding change from 100 Hz to 500 Hz), and 2) because I prefer the additional flexibility in tuning I get as a result of keeping these two increments seperate (one increment size used when click tuning, and another immediately available when scrolling with mouse-wheel). - Jeff, K6JCA -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Jeff Anderson Sent: Saturday, September 09, 2006 4:15 PM To: Gary W Strong Cc: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: Re: [Flexradio] FW: 1.6.3 SVN 668 - Includes some great enhancements Hi Gary, This feature was one of the first things I implemented when I decided to do my variant of the Flex console. In voice modes I round the "point & click" frequency (i.e. the cursor frequency) to the nearest KHz, which seems to be fine for the majority of SSB QSO's that I've had. I personally find this modification very convenient, and (even more importantly for me at the time) it was very simple to implement in software. But others may have differing opinions regarding the usefulness of this sort of feature. - Jeff, K6JCA -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Gary W Strong Sent: Saturday, September 09, 2006 5:51 AM To: 'Duane - N9DG'; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: Re: [Flexradio] FW: 1.6.3 SVN 668 - Includes some great enhancements It's that "short of" that I'd like. It's especially handy when contesting and you see several signals and want to jump from one to another quickly rather than click the mouse wheel enough and with the right step size. Am I the only one who thinks point and click tuning is a good thing?
