I have had something similar. I'm using a Heil pedal plugged into the Yeasu connector assembly for my Heil headset. I'm using the front panel jack. When pushed, the PTT turns transmit on, but I can't shut the transmit off and have to shut SDR down to stop transmitting. I have the problem with and without the amp.
Be reminded that I still have a problem with an echo on my headset whenever MON is active. Maybe it's RFI. I'm very experienced at solving rfi problems but this one has me stumped. If anyone has experienced rfi disabling the ptt circuit and has a suggestion.
