I want to use my main shack computer for logging and rig control of the Flex-5000C, treating the 5000C like I would any standalone rig.
I have a SO2R operation and the station computer controls two rigs, one of which is being replaced by the 5000C, plus two PAs, antenna switching and BPF routing. It is not practical to migrate all these functions to the 5000C. (Also, I have four LCD monitors connected to the main shack computer.) Doesn't seem to be anything in the 5000 manual regarding this. The manual assumes everyone will use the 5000C for logging as well as PowerSDR, connecting via VAC.
