Ian, check your MIC level-you may have to increase your mixer or MIC levels. You should achieve between -5 and 0dB on the MIC meter, regardless of Drive level. For additional punch try using the CPDR. The latest SVN software has an exceptionally good feature the "DX" control which will increase your processing level by at least 10 dB for exceptional "punch"
