Thanks for the reply. I'll try all of that tonight. I was thinking that VAC was 
somehow redirecting the output of the FA66 or somesuch. I'm not sure how it all 
works but the Ham Radio Deluxe software worked on the first try. Instructions 
from the KB were spot on. The simplicity makes me want to try other digital 
modes. Your item #4 listed below is what concerns me!
 
I use a program called Vegas which is made by Sony for video editing. It is
