Is the FA66 the default sound card and are your sounds associated with it?

I made my first contact with a station in Cuba under extremely bad conditions. Excellent! The Bad News My windows sounds are gone. Also my video editing software allows me to chose the Eridol FA66 in the setup menu but still no sounds from the speakers attached to the Eridol FA66. So before I attempt an earlier system restore point in order to "fix" this problem, I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this before and knows how to cure it. Device manager tells me everything is working fine. Also my SDR1000 is working fine and I'm able to hear everything thru the attached speakers (thru the Eridol FA66).
