Hmmm...you know what? Every now and again my 5000 displays "High SWR" while transmitting (yet I know it's near 1:1 using an external meter). If I toggle back to receive and then retransmit, it's fine. I wonder if this is the same problem as the "deaf receiver" issue, but on the xmit side? Cause? I bet it's a relay not being properly closed (or opened).
