Yes, but that method described below is flawed and does not accurately tell you what the "actual" speed that the host controller and the Firewire device are communicating. It just tells you what Windows "thinks" it should be. A lot of this is dependent on the ohci1394.sys driver.
For determining the "actual" speed of the Firewire host controller and the device connected to the other end, you need to perform a speed test of some kind. With a Firewire attached hard drive, this is easy.
