I fall into the same class as most. I purchased the PowerMate at the same time
I bought my SDR-1000. I set it up, used it for a few days and then stopped
using it once I realized that the Flex is really a visually interactive radio
and the mouse, with its planer multiple degrees of freedom, is much better
suited than a left/right tuning knob. The tuning knob did little to enhance
the SDR experience, matter of fact, IMHO, it distracted from the whole
experience by having to grab another pointing device to use the radio.

I have one positive thing to say. It makes a nice neon blue LED night light as
well as a volume control :-)

Subject: [Flexradio] Griffin power mate

A friend gave me a Griffin yesterday. I was thinking of adding it to my 5000a
setup. Iam happy with the mouse and the way it works for me,Is the griffin
worth the effort? Was just wondering what anyone else thought of the power mate
and it use with power sdr.
thanks
