I'm using an older HP Pavilion laptop with an AMD Athlon X64 single-core.
It works fine, even the built-in firewire.

The only laptop that I've had flawless performance from is the Macintosh 
MacBook Pro running bootcamp and XP. Follow the article carefully in the Flex 
KB to configure.
