I read the Reflector everyday and I have come to a conclusion that some of these people have to take some computer courses.
I am presently running PB-PAL SVN 3696 with BobSMeter. This rig has been running flawlessly for 6 months. The computer is a Shuttle Barebones XPC with 2 Gb of memory and a 350 Gb Hard drive. The IEEE 1394 Firewire is part of the motherboard. The Firewire device driver is version 3.5.0.7171 The Firmware version in the 5000A is 2.0.2.2 I believe the difference with my setup is the computer is dedicated to the 5000A. No updates taken. No other programs other than what is required to run the 5000A. The box is pretty new, so there really isn't a need to rebuild it at this point if I don't have to. Just backing up the database for the 125,000 photos I have is work enough! LOL. That being said, I might has well run the backup now and at least that is done.
