If you are referring to the "alpha tags" displayed under the VFOs, you can
change them yourself now. Once changed, you can transfer them to new databases
using the K9DUR SDR Data Transfer software.

All you need to do is edit the database.xml file. Look for the information
between the BandText tags. Edit the <Name> tag. If you create new <BandText>
tag pairs, just make sure the frequency range for the <low> and <high> tags
contained within a <BandText> pair are sequentially in order with other
<BandText> pairs and there is NO overlap.

There have been discussions between the developers regarding better handling of
TX ranges that are IARU defined and country or entity specific for the next
generation of FlexRadio SDR software called DI. The challenge is that above a
certain power level, TX must be restricted in firmware as per FCC regulations
and how you "localize" a radio that can be sold second-hand and shipped to a
different country after it has been localized, which could be an FCC violation
(since the radio is manufactured in the US, FlexRadio has to abide by FCC
regulations). There are also discussions on having country specific band plans
(alpha tags only) that can be called up depending on operating location. If
you are going to have country specific band plans, you might as well add
license data to it also to show what license class has transmit permissions on
a per band basis. This issue is a lot easier situation to deal with since there
are no FCC regulations on BandText or alpha tag displays.

Op-mode display.

  Hi,

its discussed before but I want to say something elso to this.
We do have different IARU-regions and regulations from country to country.

In Germany there is no transmitting permission e.g. for 60m band.
The IARU-bandplaning is different, too.
There is no "75m extra" band in region 1 because its "80m".

So if you restrict tx-bands and do display operating mode notes please
give us different configs for different IARU-regions or give them all free.
Nice would be the possibility to edit the op-mode display, too.
