Actually it is addressed in the KB. The Following KB article
outlines the recommendations for running PowerSDR and addresses the
use of laptops specifically.

I can't speak for anyone other than myself but I am not the least bit
disappointed in the radio so far. However, I think it would be in Flex
Radio's best interest if the multi-core processor computer were
mentioned here:

instead of only in a knowledge base article. The KB is an incredible
resource. However it is very extensive and can be overwhelming when
you're not sitting with the radio in front of you, say perhaps when you
are considering buying a radio. I think most people go to the KB after
they are having a problem.
