That sound like native X-windows (unix, linux, etc) functionality..not what I'm (personally) going for. I find I have 10 different programs windows open when using my radio and I just want to cruise the bands using the Shuttle, and let everything else follow it through DDutil. *B KK2QQ From: dud...@flex-radio.com [mailto:dud...@flex-radio.com] On Behalf Of FlexRadio Support, Dudley Hurry Sent: Wednesday, January 05, 2011 2:39 PM To: Bradley Feldman Cc: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: Re: [Flexradio] New Software for ShuttlePro/PowerSDR integration under development... Bradley, On the focus issue, there is a Windows option to have what ever window is under the cursor to have the focus automatically. Many use that. Also there is a program called HotWheel that can keep the focus on PowerSDR. http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50156.aspx These options might help too. 73, Dudley WA5QPZ FlexRadio Systems (512) 250-8595, Option 2 Email: dud...@flexradio.com <mailto:dud...@flex-radio.com> Web: www.flexradio.com <http://www.flex-radio.com> "Tune in excitement!" However, I became disappointed in being limited to using the small set of "keyboard equivalents" that are part of the current version of PowerSDR (as the software that comes with the ShuttlePro utilizes key strokes as assignments to various buttons on the ShuttlePRO). Moreover, I was disappointed that the ShuttlePRO software will only control PowerSDR when the PowerSDR window has focus. In other words, if you have the DXLab suite of software concurrently running with PowerSDR you have to specifically click on the PowerSDR window to have the Shuttle control PowerSDR. As I am a software architect by trade, I've decided to "roll my own" software for integrating the ShuttlePRO to PowerSDR. This software assigns the ShuttlePro exclusively to PowerSDR and allows anything available through FlexRadio CAT Command Dictionary to be assigned to the various buttons and controls on the ShuttlePro. Thus, it permits FULL control of the Flex-Radios according to user preference. The software in its alpha stage of development and works very, very well. When complete, I'd like to offer my software for posting on Flex's Knowledge center (similar to DDutil, which my software optionally uses to communicate with PowerSDR). If anyone on the reflector would like to submit a feature wish/feature request to this thread, please feel free to do so. However, there is no guarantee that the request will make it into the software, though :) I'd also be nice to see posts to gauge overall interest. *Bradley KK2QQ _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/ _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
