If there is only one USB controller (hub) in the laptop, then there may be more 
internal devices connected to it other than the keyboard and mouse.  The PCI 
/USB bus controller would be guaranteed to have only the FLEX-1500 connected to 
it (unless you plugged something else into it).  Also the internal USB 
controller would use the PCI bus too, so any traffic jams (I would expect none) 
would affect both equally as bad.

Hmnn, that's just the opposite preference I would have expected to hear if 
there was a preference. I would have though there might be some possible 
"traffic jams" in the PCI buss. Shows how much I know!
