If you're on SSB or digital, a long delay of 100 ms doesn't hurt at all. If
you're a CW op, then the TX delay adds to the existing latencies. For CW, you
should try to keep it as short as possible. The Acom is such a good amp, I bet
it protects itself from hot-switching.
