Flex cannot give you a number because it is dependent on your amplifier. My amp is rated at 15ms maximum time to switch from RX to TX. I set my delay to 20ms to have a small safety margin.
The correct setting is not dependent on mode, only on the switchover time of your amp. It is just that SSB is more tolerant of a longer delay than CW is. To set the delay, look up the maximum switchover time for your amplifier according to the manufacturer's specs. Then set the delay equal to or slightly greater than that value. 73, Ray, K9DUR http://k9dur.info -----Original Message----- From: flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz [mailto:flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz] On Behalf Of paim Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2012 2:32 PM To: Jim Jannuzzo; f...@sgsterling.com; flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: Re: [Flexradio] Delay MS is for ?????5000a buffer +acom 1000 yes Jim however i do not see anywhere how to set it correct again on ssb i set it to 20Ms and no issue however it will be nice to hear if flex have any info on what is the best number of setting , some say nothing 0ms some say 50ms some say 100ms so whatis the right number ??? thank you for the input jimBTW your one is 100ms ???? vy 73 E.P g0uut /dl9fcc _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
