This is *not* a view-based issue. But I'm tired of explaining how I can prove
the rotation around the nose without any doubt, and independent of the view.



Perhaps you could export some of the FDM data (position, orientation, etc.) into a text file and graph it. If you approached the problem carefully, you should be able to get to the bottom of exactly what is going on.
