The short answer: you're out of luck. The long answer: The reason that there are any buildings at all for anywhere in the FlightGear universe is that some developer, or user like yourself, took the time and effort to make them and donate them to the community. Frederic has put a lot of work into the SF skyline, and that's distributed with the default scenery. Other people -- again, both developers and users -- have taken the time to make other structures and donate them to the FG community. Those are not distributed with the scenery downloaded through flightgear.org at this time, but can be obtained through the FlightGear Scenery Database website, which can be found at http://fgfsdb.stockill.org/ The majority of the scenery objects whose models and placement-within- scenery are handled by this FGFS Scenery Database are generics (e.g. a generic transmission line tower, a generic major construction crane, etc.) whose placement within the scenery was arranged through things like the use of flight obstruction databases (which specify obstruction type, location, height, etc.). Some generic buildings have been placed in the database as well; and thus in the U.S., major cities will have clusters of tall buildings in their downtowns once this database is installed. Be advised, however, that 1) since the buildings involved are generic, the skylines will not look like real life; 2) the placement information in such databases is typically at odds with information like is found in the VMAP0 dataset which is used to lay out roads, rivers, etc., so buildings are sometimes found in a river etc. There are some very nice structure models that have been contributed to the database, and if you download the areas where they're located, you'll get them. But no area has been done as nicely as Frederic has done SF (including his work on fixing the terrain so that "building in river/ on top of road" problems don't occur). This is not because of a lack of interest, but simply a lack of time. If you are looking for ways to give back to FlightGear, jumping in and working on such stuff is a fantastic way to do so.
