Thanks, but the problem is in OSG.  I have been building and installing
debian packages.  Its not the supported way to build, so when it quit
working I didn't complain.  The issue happened when OSG cut over to SVN
and cmake, and reorganized things in general.  My method of merging the
latest OSG source tree with the Debian OSG build tree started failing in
subtle ways.  


I'm thinking about either installing some older versions of
OSG/SimGear/FlightGear or giving up on the debian packages, but I don't
want to do either.  Perhaps OSG_2.0 will release into debian testing
while I'm thinking...
